Facebook’s workplace app for small businesses

Facebook workplace app

After two years in the making, Facebook has introduced Workplace, a new internal app version that allows employees to interact with their co-workers.

Here is how Facebook’s new Workplace can spice up your Small Business:

Workplace encourages people to spend less time on their personal Facebook accounts

This new initiative takes away the need for staff to log onto their Facebook accounts while at work.

Instead, they can log into Workspace separate from their accounts and check out what’s happening in their teams or the organisation.

They can also comment and like posts and message people in the industry.

You don’t have to make friends with people at work because you can keep your account separate and log into Workplace. Instead of making friends with colleagues from work, you can follow them to see their posts.

Facebook’s Workplace platform allows employees to connect with colleagues

This new platform works the same way as your individual Facebook profile and includes all the standard Facebook features, including news feed, groups, messages, events, Facebook Live and more.

There are also additional features such as a dashboard and shared spaces.

Employees can create videos for their colleagues to watch in the Workplace so that every individual can communicate in more creative ways.

This idea is perfect for businesses with people who are sometimes afraid to show off their talents and skills in meetings. They can now have their say by posting their ideas.

There are already 1,000 businesses signed up

Business Insider UK revealed that 1,000 companies and charities have already signed up for the new app, including RBS, Renault, Booking.com, Save the Children and Oxfam.

It isn’t expensive to purchase

It doesn’t matter if you are a team of two or a team of over 1000, you can buy this app for just $1 per month, and this includes a 90-day free trial.

Nonprofits’ and Educational Institutions can get Workplace for free.

One of the best things about the pricing model is that the more your company uses Workplace, the less you pay per person.
